1. Personal Background
My photographer that I am researching is Sudeep. He is a photographer that takes wedding, senior, and portrait photographer. He lives in Michigan and has an Indian descent. He went to Michigan for photography. Sudeep specializes in cultural weddings especially Indian weddings because he knows the culture.
2. Style
He likes to blur the background and really focus on only his subject. That includes artificial backgrounds and lighting. He does seem to like natural lighting because that’s when his photos look the best. I can’t really compare his work to any painting because I haven’t seen many paintings that look like his. He also likes to get really close to his subjects trying to only focus on them and nothing else.
3. Philosophy
He likes to show his Indian descent. He also likes to make his photographs very personal by moving in close and making the background compliment the subject. He is trying to tell a story of each of the people his is taking his photos of.
4. Influence
He has influenced me by trying to make everything very personal to my subject adding style and class to my photos. He has also influenced me by what type of photography I would like to look into. In all of his photos he has people in it, I think that being able to get people to follow what you’re saying and what you want them to do is a huge life skill. This is something he has accomplished.

6. Compare and Contrast
My picture of my dad is to be honest, not my best work. I didn't have sunlight to take it and no other day to try and do it. But, besides the excuses, in my photos, I tried to personalize the picture. For example, in my mom's photograph, she wanted our cat to be in it and since it represents her, I let her do it. I also got experience in trying to let people take pictures of them because I tried to take pictures of other people but they didn't want me to. So, I eventually ended up having to do my family. Sudeep adds a little bit of color into each of his photos and sometimes doesn't add any. In the future, I will try to do the same as I clearly did not do that in my final photographs.
7. Artist Statement
As I said before, I think that I really could've done better, and if I had another day I would. Anyways, I tried to really focus in only on the person and not their full body as I was inspired by some of the works of Sudeep. I tried to put my subjects in the center or close to it. I have had many memories with my family as everyone should have. One memory is when we were up North at the sleeping bear dunes and we were racing up the 450. The 450 is a sand dune that is 450 feet and almost straight up a sand dune. My brother got up the dune in around 18 minutes while I got like 20 minutes. It took some very hard work but I still couldn't pass my brother, and then he went back down to do it again!
